Comfortable to wear for more than 8 hours thanks to unique pleating and fabric elasticity
Reusable up to 10 times. STOPDROPLET must be washed, disinfected and ironed after each use.
Handwash with colored fabric laundry detergent after every 8 hours of use. Max water temperature of 60°C (140°F), warm iron setting and hang to dry.
It is an hygenical face mask used to reduce the risk of infection by eliminating the disperson of droplets and aerosls that ocurr during a cough or sneeze.

What are Droplets?
What is the droplets we’re referring to?
When a person, coughs, sneezes or even talks, they project particles of moisture, or droplets, into the air which can potentially transmit a virus including SARS-CoV-2, the cause of the Covid-19 illness. An infected droplet can survive hours on any kind of surface, even skin and hands.
“People can catch COVID-19 from others who have the virus. The disease spreads primarily from person to person through small droplets from the nose or mouth, which are expelled when a person with COVID-19 coughs, sneezes, or speaks. These droplets are relatively heavy, do not travel far and quickly sink to the ground. People can catch COVID-19 if they breathe in these droplets from a person infected with the virus. (…) People can become infected by touching these objects or surfaces, then touching their eyes, nose or mouth.

At what speed can a droplet travel?
When a person coughs…
Droplets can travel at speeds of up to 80 kph (50 mph) and up to 2 metres (6 ft), same speed as a motorcycle
…and there can be over 3.000 droplets!
…and when a person sneezes
Droplets can travel as far as 8 metres (27 ft), with speeds up to 320 kph (200 mph), same speed as an F1 racecar!
…and can generate over 40.000 droplets!
Even when you’re talking!
Droplets can travel at speeds of up to 20 kph (13 mph) and up to 1 metre (3+ ft)
…and there can be over 1.000 droplets!
In parallel, independently organised simulations, performed by researchers from the Aalto University (VTT Technical Research Centre) of Finland and the Finnish Meteorological Institute it’s clearly apparent that the droplets generated by a coughing person are transmitted to his vicinity and even further from what one should expect (video)
At the same time, as seen from the video by the specialised simulations company Ansys, droplets can spread further away than 2 metres (6ft) behind you while you walk, run or bike. The same company clearly suggest the use of facemasks as their simulations show a minimum of 6-fold reduction of the virus spread via droplets risk by users of a properly fitted facemask.

STOPDROPLET ™ were created by MyFamily S.r.l., from Valenza (Italy), in order to help cope with the State Emergency during the breakout of COVID-19 in Italy. MyFamily S.r.l. supported both government institutions and the public by donating 30,000 masks to law enfrcement and private citizens to help curb the spread of the virus.
This initiative stimulates MyFamily S.r.l to develop a safer, more effective solution to the traditional cloth face masks currently being used.
